Facility (Direct Hire) Full Time IL No Call W-2

Job Description

Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized academic and clinical institution located in downtown Chicago, is seeking full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join its growing anesthesia department. This opportunity combines high-acuity clinical practice with academic involvement at one of the nation’s leading teaching hospitals.

CRNAs in this role practice under medical direction and are actively involved in the full spectrum of peri-anesthetic care, including pre-anesthetic evaluation, anesthesia induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia management. Providers deliver anesthesia services across both inpatient and outpatient settings and participate in a wide variety of surgical cases.

This position also carries a faculty appointment, with responsibilities that include supervising Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs) within the nurse anesthesia program. CRNAs work in a collaborative academic environment that values education, professional growth, and practicing at the top of license.

Schedule & Work Environment

Rush offers exceptional scheduling flexibility, with 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts available. Schedules are customized to support work-life balance, and CRNAs are relieved on time for their scheduled shifts rather than operating under a waterfall or late-relief system.

Call responsibilities are minimal. There is no in-house call requirement, and CRNAs are compensated for carrying a pager as well as for any call-ins, which occur approximately 10% of the time.

Compensation & Incentives

The total compensation range for this full-time W-2 position is $250,000 to $350,000 annually, based on experience, training, and other factors. Sign-on bonuses of up to $30,000 are available for full-time hires. Additional compensation may include premium pay, relocation assistance, and other incentive programs.

Rush also offers unique educational support programs, including an SRNA Grant that allows students to receive financial assistance up to one year prior to employment, as well as participation in the Illinois Nurse Educator Loan Repayment Program, which provides up to $5,000 per year in loan forgiveness for up to four years.
