Job Description

An exciting leadership opportunity is available for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to serve as Assistant Director of the Nurse Anesthesia Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia/Rhode Island College. This role combines academic, clinical, and administrative responsibilities while allowing you to maintain active clinical practice across multiple hospital and ASC affiliates.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual Salary: $270,000 (non-call) – $300,000 (with call)
• $25,000 sign-on bonus (2-year commitment)
• $30,000 annual stipend
• 44 days PTO annually
• CME allowance of $1,500 per year

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director with daily operations and accreditation compliance
• Interview applicants and coordinate clinical program placements
• Organize pre-clinical orientation and evaluate student performance
• Collaborate with curriculum committees to ensure program excellence
• Deliver instruction in both didactic and clinical coursework, including advanced simulation
• Support DNP scholarly projects and evidence-based practice initiatives
• Engage in clinical practice across hospital and ASC affiliates

• General, Bariatric, Ortho, Podiatry, Vascular
• GU, Neuro, GYN, Thoracic, Endo
• Surgical Oncology, Robotics, OB, and Pediatric Dental

Qualifications

• Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree required
• Leadership or administrative experience in a graduate nursing program preferred
• Unencumbered RN or APRN license in Rhode Island
• Strong communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills
