Program Requirements
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from a regionally or internationally accredited college or university.
- Licensure:
- Current, unrestricted license as a professional registered nurse in the United States. Out-of-state applicants must be eligible for endorsement by the Florida Board of Nursing. An unrestricted Florida license must be obtained prior to starting the program and maintained throughout enrollment.
- Experience:
- Minimum of one year of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse in a critical care setting within the last three years.
- Academic Performance:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
- Prerequisite Coursework:
- One college-level chemistry course with a laboratory component completed within five years of beginning the program with a grade of B or higher.
- One additional math or science course.
- Standardized Test Scores:
- Official Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores.
- Additional Requirements:
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Essay describing the role of a CRNA.
- Evidence of shadowing experience.
- Personal interview with the Admissions Committee.
