Program Requirements

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from a regionally or internationally accredited college or university.
  • Licensure:
    • Current, unrestricted license as a professional registered nurse in the United States. Out-of-state applicants must be eligible for endorsement by the Florida Board of Nursing. An unrestricted Florida license must be obtained prior to starting the program and maintained throughout enrollment.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of one year of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse in a critical care setting within the last three years.
  • Academic Performance:
    • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Prerequisite Coursework:
    • One college-level chemistry course with a laboratory component completed within five years of beginning the program with a grade of B or higher.
    • One additional math or science course.
  • Standardized Test Scores:
    • Official Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Two letters of recommendation.
    • Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV).
    • Essay describing the role of a CRNA.
    • Evidence of shadowing experience.
    • Personal interview with the Admissions Committee.
