Job Description
Carilion Clinic – Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital is hiring full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join a large, hospital-employed anesthesia service within a Level I trauma center. This role is designed for CRNAs seeking broad clinical exposure, schedule flexibility, and long-term stability in a nonprofit health system. Positions are available for both new graduates and experienced CRNAs.
CRNAs practice in a medically directed model and are integrated into high-acuity inpatient services. The department supports flexible self-scheduling with 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts and offers both full-time and part-time options. There is no call requirement for this position. Night shift roles are available with additional financial incentives.
Clinical Scope & Case Mix
- Orthopedic anesthesia (high volume)
- Neuroanesthesia and trauma anesthesia
- Thoracic and select vascular cases
- Pediatric and limited obstetric cases
- EP lab and advanced endoscopy procedures
- Acute care and emergency surgical coverage
Practice Model & Environment
- Level I trauma center within a large nonprofit health system
- 100% medically directed care team model
- CRNAs administer induction agents
- Robust support staff including anesthesia technicians
- Opportunities to rotate to other Carilion facilities as needed
Schedule & Work Structure
- Flexible self-scheduling with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts
- Full-time and part-time options available
- No call, no post-call responsibilities
- Premium pay for extra shifts (average $200/hour)
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $230,000 – $270,000 (W-2)
- $50,000 sign-on bonus with three-year commitment

Qualifications
- NBCRNA certification required
- Active or eligible Virginia CRNA license
- ACLS and PALS required
