The Clarkson College Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nurse Anesthesia program in Omaha, Nebraska is a full-time, 36-month track accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) that prepares registered nurses for advanced anesthesia practice and eligibility to sit for the National Certification Examination. Program Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.

Current RN license in Nebraska or another state.

One year of recent full time RN experience in a critical care unit prior to applying to the program. Acceptable critical care experience includes: ICU (Intensive Care Unit), Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiac Care Unit, Neonatal ICU, or Pediatric ICU.

Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or better.

Required Certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support).

Course Prerequisites: Anatomy, Microbiology, Physical assessment, College math or equivalent, Pathophysiology, Physiology, Pharmacology, and Chemistry.
