Job Description
Phoebe Putney Health System in Albany, Georgia is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join its growing hospital-based anesthesia team. This full-time opportunity offers a strong compensation package, generous paid time off, and a diverse surgical case mix in a collaborative care team environment.
CRNAs work alongside anesthesiologists and anesthesia staff providing care across a wide range of surgical specialties. The practice includes general surgery, orthopedics, vascular, thoracic, neuro, plastics, ENT, urology, and endoscopy cases. Obstetric cases are minimal due to a dedicated OB anesthesia team. The program does not perform transplant surgery, open heart procedures, or complex pediatric cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-anesthesia patient assessments and develop anesthesia care plans
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care and patient monitoring
- Assist with airway management and intraoperative monitoring
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams within a care team model
- Document anesthesia care and maintain patient safety throughout procedures
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary ranging from $260,000 to $290,000
- $30,000 sign-on bonus
- Productivity bonus based on ASA billable units
- Call-back and incentive pay at $170 per hour plus on-call stipend
- 8–10 weeks combined PTO, holidays, and CME

Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- NBCRNA certification or eligibility
- Active Georgia license or eligibility for licensure
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications
- New graduates and experienced CRNAs welcome
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time W-2 hospital-employed position
- Care team anesthesia model with anesthesiologists
- Post-call day off provided for first call coverage
- No in-house call requirement
- Diverse surgical case mix including general, vascular, thoracic, neuro, plastics, ENT, urology, orthopedics, and endoscopy
- No transplant surgery, open heart procedures, or complex pediatric cases
- Minimal obstetric coverage due to separate OB anesthesia team
- Team currently includes anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and anesthesiologist assistants
