Job Description
Johnson Anesthesia, LLC is seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join a CRNA-managed anesthesia team at an ambulatory surgery center in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. This full-time position offers a high level of autonomy within a CRNA-only practice environment.
The facility focuses on bread-and-butter outpatient cases including orthopedic procedures, general surgery, gynecology, pediatric ENT, and pain procedures. The group is owned and managed by CRNAs and offers schedule flexibility in a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services for outpatient surgical procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthesia patient evaluations
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures
- Provide post-anesthesia care and patient recovery monitoring
- Perform regional anesthesia techniques when appropriate
- Collaborate with surgeons and clinical staff to ensure efficient case flow
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual compensation range: $370,000 – $400,000
- 1099 independent contractor position
- Malpractice insurance provided ($1M / $3M coverage)
- 8 weeks paid vacation

Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Active Pennsylvania RN and CRNA licensure
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications
- NBCRNA certification required
- New graduates generally not preferred
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time 1099 position
- No call responsibilities
- CRNA-only anesthesia practice
- Case mix includes orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, pediatric ENT, and pain procedures
- Team includes 3 full-time CRNAs and 4 part-time CRNAs
