Job Description
Tamarack Health Ashland Medical Center is expanding its independent CRNA practice and is seeking 2–3 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join a financially stable critical access hospital with growing surgical and pain management services. This is a full-scope, autonomous CRNA role supported by a collaborative surgical team and highly engaged hospital administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent anesthesia care across a broad surgical case mix
- Perform ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia and neuraxial techniques
- Manage obstetric anesthesia including epidurals
- Participate in perioperative anesthesia planning and patient evaluation
- Support a growing CRNA-led pain practice
Clinical Practice Overview
- Independent CRNA practice model
- Average 2,000 surgical cases annually
- Approximately 200 deliveries per year
- Epic electronic medical record
- Modern equipment including Sonosite PX (x3) and Glidescope
- Brand new surgical services building opened in 2021
Case Mix
- General surgery and robotics
- Orthopedics and podiatry
- Urology
- ENT
- Ophthalmology
- OB/GYN
- Endoscopy
Schedule & Call
- Full-time position
- No mandatory call
- Optional beeper call with light callback volume
- Post-call day off provided
- Option to work post-call day for additional compensation
- 20-minute response time
- No in-house requirement for epidurals
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $270,000
- Total compensation in the top 90th percentile nationally
- W-2 employment
- 6 weeks paid time off
- $5,000 CME allowance with 7 CME days annually

Job Requirements
- Wisconsin CRNA license (or eligibility)
- NBCRNA certification required
- New graduates considered with strong references
- Independent practice experience preferred
