Job Description

Anesthesia Associates of New Mexico is recruiting a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join an independent anesthesia practice in Albuquerque. This position is structured for CRNAs seeking predictable daytime hours with no nights, no weekends, and no holidays. The role is open to both experienced CRNAs and new graduates and provides consistent exposure to a wide range of bread-and-butter cases.

CRNAs in this role practice independently without medical direction and are expected to manage their own anesthetics. The position offers frequent opportunities to perform regional anesthesia, peripheral nerve blocks, and spinals, making it an excellent environment for skill development and long-term clinical growth.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide independent anesthesia care across multiple outpatient-focused service lines
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence without anesthesiologist supervision
• Perform spinal anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks routinely
• Develop and execute anesthesia care plans appropriate to case type
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with surgeons and perioperative staff as needed

• Orthopedic procedures
• Healthy pediatric cases (limited exposure)
• Podiatry
• Spine cases
• Pain procedures
• Plastic surgery
• Ophthalmology

Schedule & Work Structure

• Day shifts only
• No nights, weekends, or holidays
• No first or second call responsibilities
• Flexible scheduling options available
• Immediate start available

Compensation & Position Details

• $210–$220 per hour compensation
• 1099 independent contractor position
• W-2 option available
• Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus with one-year commitment
• Participation in the New Mexico Patient Compensation Fund required
• Malpractice coverage negotiable

Job Requirements

• Active New Mexico RN and CRNA license
• NBCRNA certification required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• CSR and DEA required
• Comfort performing spinal anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks
• New graduates welcome
