Job Description
Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center – West Burlington Campus is seeking full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join a high-functioning, all-CRNA anesthesia team. This is a hospital-employed W-2 position offering complete clinical autonomy, a broad regional-heavy case mix, paid call, and generous time off. There are no heads, no hearts, and no sick pediatric cases.
Practice Environment
This is a fully autonomous, all-CRNA practice model. CRNAs practice independently at the top of their license and are integral members of the perioperative team. The group places a strong emphasis on regional anesthesia and collaborative, efficient OR workflows.
Case Mix & Clinical Scope
- Orthopedic surgery with extensive regional anesthesia
- General surgery
- Urology
- OB/GYN
- Endoscopy
- Acute pain service
- No cardiac, no heads, no critically ill pediatric cases
Schedule & Call
- Full-time position
- 1:10 first call rotation (always post-call off)
- 1:10 second call rotation
- Paid call compensation
- Start date: Immediate
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide independent anesthesia care across inpatient and outpatient services
- Perform arterial lines, central venous access, spinals, epidurals, and peripheral nerve blocks
- Develop and execute anesthesia care plans independently
- Manage acute pain and regional anesthesia services
- Participate in preoperative screening and postoperative care
Compensation & Benefits
- Employment model: W-2 hospital employee
- Annual compensation range: $340,000–$370,000+
- $50,000 sign-on bonus (three-year commitment)

Candidate Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- NBCRNA certification required
- Active Iowa RN/CRNA license or ability to obtain
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- New graduates considered on a negotiable basis
