Job Description

Virginia Anesthesia & Perioperative Care Specialists (VAPCS) is seeking a full-time CRNA to join our well-established private practice providing anesthesia services across multiple facilities, including Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital and affiliated surgery centers in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. This opportunity offers a diverse case mix, flexible scheduling options, and a strong emphasis on work–life balance within a supportive care team model.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective anesthesia care across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans
• Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
• Manage post-anesthesia care and patient recovery
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting salary of $230,000 with salary increase after three years
• $30,000 sign-on bonus
• Choice of W-2 or 1099 employment
• Generous profit-sharing plan (7%) beginning within three months
• Up to $3,000 annually for CME or medical FSA
• Seven weeks of vacation, with an additional week after three years

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
• Current CRNA certification and state licensure eligibility
• Ability to work in a care team model across multiple case types
• Strong communication skills and commitment to patient safety

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time position with 8-hour, 10-hour, and optional call shifts
• Call shifts include one 24-hour shift and two 8-hour shifts per week with differential pay
• Primarily outpatient-focused practice with varied surgical specialties
