Job Description
A private ophthalmology center in Oak Creek, Wisconsin is seeking one full-time and one 0.5 FTE Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join a CRNA-only anesthesia group. This is a highly sought-after lifestyle position offering predictable hours, low stress, and an excellent work-life balance.
The average workweek is approximately 35 hours, with a Monday–Thursday schedule and only two Friday half-days per month. Typical operating room hours run from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and there is no call, no nights, and no weekend work. The center is closed on major holidays and every 2nd, 4th, and 5th Friday of the month, providing guaranteed time off without using vacation.
The practice is primarily cataract-focused, with some oculoplastics and occasional general anesthesia cases (1–2 per month). The facility is fully equipped with anesthesia machines, emergency setups, McGrath video laryngoscopy, and i-gel airways. CRNAs practice independently in a supportive environment where surgeons and staff are highly collaborative and respectful. This role is ideal for a team-oriented CRNA seeking a long-term, low-stress outpatient position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent anesthesia care for outpatient ophthalmologic procedures
- Manage primarily cataract cases with occasional oculoplastics and general anesthesia
- Perform anesthesia care using paper charting
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nursing staff, and anesthesia colleagues
- Maintain a safe, efficient perioperative workflow
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual compensation range of $270,000–$280,000 (1099)
- $200 per hour for hours worked over 40 in a week

Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Active Wisconsin CRNA licensure required
- NBCRNA certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Independent practice experience preferred
- Positive attitude and strong team-player mindset required
