Job Description

Essentia Health–Fargo is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join the anesthesia team at its Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center in Fargo, North Dakota. This role is part of a large, well-established anesthesia department that supports a broad range of surgical and procedural services.

CRNAs in this position work within the general anesthesia pool and contribute to coverage across operating rooms, endoscopy, interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization, radiology, and obstetrics. The role includes call responsibilities, weekend coverage, and limited holiday coverage, with a structured schedule that supports work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for general and specialty surgical procedures
• Support anesthetizing locations including ORs, endoscopy, IR, cath lab, radiology, and OB
• Participate in call rotation, including nights, weekends, and limited holidays
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and perioperative teams
• Maintain accurate and timely anesthesia documentation

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated annual compensation range of $290,000 to $350,000
• W-2 employment status
• $80,000 sign-on bonus
• 12-month student stipend available for eligible candidates

Job Requirements

• Current CRNA certification in good standing
• Eligibility for licensure in North Dakota
• Open to new graduate and experienced CRNAs
• Ability to participate in call and weekend coverage
• Strong clinical skills and commitment to patient-centered care

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time exempt position
• Hospital-based anesthesia practice
• First and second call frequency varies by rotation
• Day off provided following first-call shifts
