Job Description

Children’s Minnesota is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its nationally recognized pediatric anesthesia team. This W-2 position is based at the Minneapolis and Minnetonka West campuses and offers the opportunity to practice in one of the most comprehensive pediatric care environments in the region.

As a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and Level 4 NICU, Children’s Minnesota manages a highly diverse and complex surgical case mix. CRNAs provide anesthesia care across inpatient and outpatient settings and play a critical role in the hospital’s trauma and emergency response systems.

The anesthesia department supports more than 19,000 surgical cases annually across up to 15 operating rooms per day, including main ORs, dedicated cardiac ORs, and additional ORs at the Minnetonka campus. CRNAs are integral members of the care team and serve as first responders for all Code Blue events and Level 1 pediatric traumas, with primary responsibility for airway management.

This role is ideal for CRNAs with a strong interest in pediatric anesthesia who want to work at the top of their scope in a high-acuity, mission-driven hospital setting. While the current opening is for a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE arrangements may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for pediatric patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Support Level 1 Pediatric Trauma and Level 4 NICU services
• Administer anesthesia for ENT, urology, orthopedic trauma, general surgery, cardiothoracic, and neurosurgery cases
• Serve as first responder for Code Blue and Level 1 trauma airway management
• Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary pediatric teams

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary range: $250,000 – $280,000 (W-2)
• Sign-on bonus up to $30,000

Job Requirements

• Current CRNA certification (NBCRNA)
• Eligible for Minnesota licensure
• Comfort working in a pediatric, trauma-focused hospital environment

Schedule & Call

• Full-time (1.0 FTE), with potential consideration for reduced FTE
• First call frequency varies
• Always off post–first call
• Second call frequency varies
