CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists for full-time W-2 positions with immediate start availability. Practice Environment

This is a hospital-employed CRNA role within a large, faith-based, not-for-profit health system. CRNAs practice in a medically directed model with strong anesthesia technician support, including 2–3 techs dedicated to room turnover and case preparation. The hospital serves as a regional referral center with a broad catchment area and a diverse surgical case load.

Case Mix & Anesthesia Scope

  • Obstetric anesthesia
  • Orthopedic surgery
  • Neuroanesthesia
  • Trauma anesthesia
  • Critical care and acute pain services
  • Outpatient surgery cases
  • Regional anesthesia, including spinals, epidurals, and peripheral nerve blocks
  • Occasional cardiac, thoracic, and major vascular cases

Schedule & Workload

  • Full-time W-2 position
  • Shift-based scheduling model
  • First call every fourteenth night
  • Second call every fourteenth night
  • Post-call day off provided
  • Premium pay for evenings, nights, weekends, and hours worked over 40 per week

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive anesthesia care across a wide range of surgical specialties
  • Placement of arterial lines, central lines, epidurals, spinals, and regional blocks
  • Management of high-acuity and trauma cases
  • Collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative teams
  • Participation in acute pain and critical care support

Compensation & Employment Structure

  • Employment model: W-2 hospital employee
  • Base salary starting at $260,000
  • Sign-on incentive up to $75,000
  • Premium rate of $200/hour for all hours worked over 40 in a week
  • First-year earning potential exceeding $300,000
  • Six weeks of paid vacation
