Job Description

Gove County Medical Center in Quinter, Kansas is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full-time, independent contractor position. This role offers a high degree of autonomy with a mix of general, obstetric, and pain management cases in a supportive rural hospital environment. The CRNA will play a vital role in ensuring safe and effective anesthesia care while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia services for surgical, obstetric, and pain management cases, including C-sections and epidurals.
• Maintain hospital privileges and adhere to all medical staff bylaws and regulations.
• Deliver 24-hour anesthesia coverage for 13 weeks annually, with timely response to service requests.
• Participate in hospital quality assurance programs and policy development related to anesthesia services.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical record documentation and billing information.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state healthcare regulations, including Medicare documentation requirements.

Compensation & Schedule

• Annual Compensation: $280,000 (1099 independent contractor)
• Schedule: Locum coverage for 26 weeks per year, including 24-hour call
• Case Types: General surgery, pain management, and obstetrics (C-sections, epidurals)
• On-Call: 13 weeks annually, with 30-minute response time
• Practice Model: CRNA-only independent practice
• Professional Liability: CRNA to maintain own malpractice insurance with $300,000/$600,000 limits

Job Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Kansas CRNA license
• NBCRNA certification in good standing
• Proficiency in general anesthesia, epidurals, and obstetric anesthesia
• Strong communication and independent decision-making skills
• Commitment to rural healthcare and high-quality patient outcomes
