Job Description

This full-time independent contractor role offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced CRNA seeking autonomy, competitive income, and substantial vacation time in the Pikeville, Kentucky region. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care independently for a variety of bread-and-butter cases, including a primary focus on obstetrics.
  • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments with daytime physician support available for efficiency and case guidance.
  • Deliver safe anesthesia management throughout all phases of care, including intraoperative monitoring and postoperative assessment.
  • Participate in a 1-in-6 call rotation with post-call days off for adequate rest.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in alignment with regulatory and facility standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and surgical staff while maintaining autonomy in practice.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Annual Income: $410,000 (1099 independent contractor)
  • Time Off: 17 weeks of vacation annually
  • Call Schedule: 1-in-6 with post-call days off
  • Practice Model: Independent CRNA role with physician assistance available for complex cases
  • Setting: Private practice group in the Pikeville, KY area

Job Requirements

  • Active CRNA certification and valid Kentucky state licensure
  • Ability to practice independently in a busy anesthesia setting
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
  • Comfort with obstetric cases and participation in a structured call schedule
