Job Description

Essentia Health–Fargo is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its established anesthesia team at a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center in Fargo, North Dakota. This role is part of the general CRNA pool and offers exposure to a wide range of surgical and procedural environments within a large, well-supported health system.

The anesthesia department is composed of 34 full-time CRNAs and 11 anesthesiologists, staffing 13 operating rooms in addition to Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Radiology, and Obstetrics. This position is well-suited for both experienced CRNAs and new graduates seeking a robust clinical foundation in a high-acuity hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care across multiple service lines within a Level II Trauma Center
• Participate in anesthesia coverage for ORs, OB, Endo, IR, Cath Lab, and Radiology
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists and CRNA colleagues in a care team model
• Participate in call, weekend, and limited holiday coverage as part of the general pool
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, documentation, and clinical excellence

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual compensation range: $290,000 – $350,000 (based on experience and productivity)
• $80,000 sign-on bonus
• 12-month student stipend available for eligible candidates

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, exempt position
• Includes call, weekends, and 1–2 holidays per year
