Matagorda Regional Medical Center in Bay City, Texas is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join a CRNA-owned, CRNA-only practice providing full-scope anesthesia care. The schedule follows a 3-weeks-on / 1-week-off rotation, creating approximately 13 weeks off annually. Most providers average under 30 hours per week, with post-call days off most days. Call is taken from home with no in-house call, and the position averages seven total call days per month.
The practice covers general surgery, OB/GYN, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, and endoscopy procedures. OB volume is modest, averaging fewer than 30 deliveries per month. This role begins May 4, 2026, and is offered as a 1099 position with a set annual compensation of $340,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent anesthesia care in a CRNA-only practice model
- Deliver full-scope anesthesia services for general surgery, OB/GYN, orthopedics, ENT, podiatry, and endoscopy
- Participate in home-call coverage and respond as needed
- Perform neuraxial anesthesia including spinal and epidural techniques
- Provide regional anesthesia and perioperative management across assigned cases
Compensation & Benefits

Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Active Texas CRNA licensure required
- NBCRNA certification required (exam process acceptable)
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications required
- Comfort practicing independently at full scope, including OB and regional anesthesia
- New graduates acceptable
