Job Description
Mount Nittany Health is seeking full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join its growing, financially stable, nonprofit healthcare system in State College, Pennsylvania. This hospital-employed opportunity offers practice within a 260-bed acute care medical center serving both inpatient and outpatient populations.
CRNAs practice 100% of the time within an Anesthesia Care Team model alongside 11 anesthesiologists and 20 CRNAs in a collegial, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services across a broad surgical case mix
- Participate in a 3rd call rotation with call-ins averaging less than once per week
- Deliver care in a team-based anesthesia model
- Utilize EPIC EMR system
- Support quality and productivity initiatives
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $230,000 – $290,000 (based on experience)
- Sign-on bonus: $20,000 (2-year commitment) up to $50,000 (4-year commitment)
- Annual quality/productivity bonus up to $5,000
- 6 weeks vacation plus 8 holidays annually
- 40 hours CME annually with CME/Dues allowance

Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Master’s degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program
- Pennsylvania RN licensure
- Board Certified, Recertified, or eligible through the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association standards)
- Knowledge of controlled substance policies in accordance with federal and state laws
- New graduates and experienced CRNAs welcome
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time hospital-employed W-2 position
- Shift options: 8, 10, 12, and 16 hours
- 3rd call rotation; no first or second call
- 12 ORs in Main OR
- 4 ORs at affiliated Surgery Center
- 4 Endoscopy suites
- C-section suite
- Case mix includes general surgery, orthopedics (including spine), urology, plastic surgery, ENT, vascular, pain management, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, and healthy pediatrics (no heads or hearts)
