Job Description

Mercy Jefferson Hospital in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a unique full-time position split between OB and OR responsibilities. This role offers an exceptional work-life balance with 17 weeks off per year, a collaborative team culture, and a generous $25,000 sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for obstetric patients, including epidurals and C-sections
  • Cover general OR cases such as ortho, GU, general surgery, GI, and GYN
  • Share OB call duties, with call taken from home (must be within 20 minutes of the hospital)
  • Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia plans
  • Support patient safety and coordinate care with the surgical and OB teams

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary starting at $230,000
  • $25,000 sign-on bonus
  • W-2 employment with comprehensive benefits
  • Option to pick up additional in-house hours for extra income
  • Exceptional scheduling flexibility with peel order system

Job Requirements

  • CRNA certification and Missouri state licensure
  • Experience in obstetric anesthesia preferred
  • Must live within 20 minutes of Mercy Jefferson Hospital while on OB call
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and safety

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Rotation: 1 week OB call, 1 week OR daytime coverage, 1 week off
  • OB call from home – not in-house
  • 17 weeks off annually
  • Supportive, close-knit anesthesia group
