The Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Nurse Anesthesia Program is a full-time, 36-month Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) track offered through the OHSU School of Nursing and based in Portland, Oregon. The program typically admits a small, highly competitive cohort of approximately 18–20 students each year and is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA). Students complete the majority of their clinical education at OHSU Hospital, a Level I adult and pediatric trauma center, as well as at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and the VA Portland Health Care System, providing exposure to complex tertiary and quaternary anesthesia cases. The curriculum emphasizes early and progressive clinical immersion, high-fidelity simulation, and advanced training in general, regional, obstetric, pediatric, and specialty anesthesia within an academic medical center environment.
