Job Description

Spokane Gastroenterology is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a part-time opportunity at its outpatient endoscopy center in Spokane, Washington. This role focuses exclusively on providing sedation for upper endoscopies and colonoscopies in a fast-paced, well-organized ASC environment.

CRNAs in this position work alongside a dedicated clinical team that includes physician endoscopists, nursing staff, and endoscopy technicians. The schedule consists of weekday coverage on Thursdays and Fridays with predictable hours, manageable daily case volumes, and a carefully screened patient population.

Job Highlights

• Part-time GI endoscopy ASC position
• Thursday and Friday schedule (7:00 AM – approximately 3:00 PM)
• 10–12 cases per day with pre-screened, low-acuity patients
• Opportunity to split coverage with another CRNA (one day per week option)
• Predictable schedule with no nights, weekends, or call

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct focused pre-procedure patient assessments and physical exams
• Educate patients on sedation procedures and recovery expectations
• Obtain informed consent for anesthesia services
• Administer sedation, typically using propofol
• Monitor patients during procedures, including vital signs, oxygen saturation, and end-tidal CO₂
• Document anesthesia care accurately in the patient health record
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient workflow

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated annual compensation range of $240,000 to $330,000 (part-time equivalent)
• Part-time W-2 or 1099 structure depending on arrangement
• Ability to bill insurance directly subject to practice management approval
• Practice provides all required equipment and supplies

Job Requirements

• Current Washington CRNA and RN licensure
• Active ACLS certification
• Experience with outpatient or ASC-based endoscopy sedation preferred
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Schedule & Work Environment

• Part-time schedule with Thursday and Friday coverage
• Outpatient ambulatory surgery center
• Patient population limited to ASA I, II, and stable III patients
• BMI limit of less than 40 kg/m²
• No first or second call responsibilities
