Job Description

Center for Visual Surgical Excellence in Chesapeake, Virginia is seeking a part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a flexible, independent contractor (1099) role. This position offers a guaranteed monthly income for 60–80 hours of work and is ideal for CRNAs seeking consistent supplemental income with a predictable schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for cataract surgeries and occasional oculoplastics
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process
• Collaborate with surgical staff in a fast-paced, outpatient environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Guaranteed compensation: $120,000 to $160,000 annually based on agreed schedule
• Flexible 1099 contractor position
• Optional flat-rate on-call coverage for Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (must be available 46 weeks/year)

Schedule & Work Environment

• Part-time schedule: typically three days one week, one day the next
• Days range from 6 to 10 hours, depending on the surgical schedule
• Opportunity to work elsewhere on Tuesdays and Fridays
• Outpatient surgery center focused on eye care with low acuity cases

Job Requirements

• Current CRNA certification
• Active Virginia RN and APRN licensure
• Comfortable with independent practice in outpatient settings
• Reliable and flexible availability to meet coverage needs
