Job Description

Phoebe Putney Health System in Albany, Georgia is seeking full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join a large, well-supported hospital anesthesia team in Southwest Georgia. This W-2 hospital-employed role offers a strong compensation package, extensive paid time off, and a broad, high-acuity case mix with excellent physician support.

CRNAs practice in a medically directed care team model and manage a diverse range of surgical cases including general surgery, orthopedics, vascular, thoracic, neuro, plastics, ENT, urology, and endoscopy. OB exposure is minimal due to a separate OB anesthesia team. The practice does not include transplants, open heart surgery, or sick pediatric cases.

This position offers no in-house call, post-call days off for first call, and multiple opportunities for additional income through productivity bonuses, incentive pay, and callback compensation. Both new graduates and experienced CRNAs are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care within a medically directed hospital-based model
  • Manage a broad surgical case mix excluding transplants, open hearts, and sick pediatrics
  • Participate in call coverage with post-call day off for first call
  • Perform arterial line placement as needed
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and AAs in a team environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range of $260,000–$290,000+
  • $30,000 sign-on bonus (two-year commitment)
  • Productivity bonus paid annually based on ASA billable units
  • Additional call-back and incentive pay at $170 per hour plus on-call stipend
  • 8–10 weeks paid time off including PTO, holidays, and CME

Job Requirements

  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Active or eligible Georgia CRNA licensure
  • NBCRNA certification required (exam process acceptable)
  • Current ACLS certification required
  • Current PALS certification required
  • New graduates welcome to apply
