Job Description

This PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist opportunity is based at South Alabama Outpatient Services, a high-efficiency outpatient surgery center in Enterprise, Alabama. The role is ideal for CRNAs seeking predictable daytime hours, a low-stress schedule, and classic outpatient anesthesia without call, weekends, evenings, or overnight responsibilities.

The facility provides bread-and-butter outpatient surgical care across all age groups, including pediatrics, within a medically directed anesthesia model. This position offers the advantage of being consistently first out, along with a guaranteed minimum of four hours per shift. The group is seeking a PRN CRNA available one to two days per week, with the potential for additional shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for outpatient surgical procedures under anesthesiologist supervision
• Participate in pre-anesthesia evaluations and intraoperative anesthesia management
• Assist with safe patient emergence and post-anesthesia transitions
• Maintain accurate anesthesia documentation and compliance standards
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff
• Support efficient patient flow in a high-functioning outpatient environment

• Routine bread-and-butter anesthesia

Schedule & Coverage Details

• PRN position with immediate start availability
• Typical commitment: 1–2 days per week
• Four-hour guaranteed minimum per shift
• No call responsibilities
• No weekends, evenings, or nights
• Consistently first-out scheduling

Compensation & Coverage

Job Requirements

• Active Alabama CRNA license
• NBCRNA certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• PALS not required
• New graduates considered on a negotiable basis
