Program Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
RN licensure in good standing. You will need both Illinois and Missouri RN licenses to complete the CRNA program.
At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse where you have had the opportunity to: Develop as an independent decision maker, Demonstrate psycho-motor skills, Use and interpret advanced monitoring techniques based on a knowledge of physiologic and pharmacological principles, such as in a critical care area.
A 3.0 minimum GPA is required in undergraduate nursing courses and is preferred in undergraduate science courses as well as cumulatively. If your nursing GPA is between 2.50 and 2.99, you may be considered for probationary admission.
Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) through either the AMA or Red Cross.
CRNA Educational Requirements: Statistics (grade of C or better), Organic or biochemistry (taken no more than 6 years before admission), and Physics (taken no more than 6 years before admission).
