Job Description

Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our growing hospital-employed Anesthesia group in Portsmouth, Ohio. This is a full-time position with a 4-day work week, offering a balanced lifestyle and competitive compensation. New graduates are welcome to apply!

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia for a variety of bread-and-butter cases
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop patient-specific care plans
  • Monitor patient responses to anesthesia and adjust care as needed
  • Ensure effective communication with the surgical and healthcare team
  • Provide post-anesthesia care, including pain management

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary of $266,756 with additional compensation for experience (guaranteed for 2 years)
  • Signing bonus
  • Up to $80,000 in student loan reimbursement
  • Moving allowance provided
  • 232 PTO hours
  • CME allowance: 40 hours and $5,000
  • Additional pay for overtime, evening, weekend, and call shifts

Job Requirements

  • Current CRNA certification
  • Active Ohio RN and APRN licensure
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply

Schedule & Work Environment

  • 4-day work week
  • Rotating call (1:10)
  • Post-call day off guaranteed
  • No surgery center coverage required
