The St. Joseph Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program in Rhode Island is a 36-month, full-time track developed in collaboration with the state’s only nurse anesthesia program. Program Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
Proof of current licensure as a registered nurse. Once accepted, you’ll need an RN license in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting with the opportunity to develop independent decision-making skills and acquire the psychomotor skills and ability to use and interpret advanced monitoring techniques.
Preferred undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or evidence of outstanding postgraduate academic achievement.
Graduate Record Exam is required.
Required Certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
Chemistry (CHEM 105, CHEM 106) with a minimum grade of C, taken within the last 10 years.
