Job Description

Twin Cities Pain Clinic is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join its ambulatory surgery centers in Edina, Burnsville, and Maplewood, Minnesota. This is a highly desirable lifestyle-focused role specializing exclusively in chronic pain procedures. The position offers predictable weekday hours, no call, no weekends, and cases that typically conclude by early afternoon.

Practice Environment

This role is based in ambulatory surgery centers dedicated to chronic pain management. CRNAs practice independently with no medical direction and work closely with pain physicians and ASC leadership. The environment is patient-centered, efficient, and designed to support consistency, safety, and work-life balance across multiple Twin Cities locations.

Case Mix & Anesthesia Scope

• Chronic pain procedures
• Outpatient anesthesia services
• Preoperative screening and patient evaluation
• No cardiac, obstetric, pediatric, trauma, or critical care cases
• No regional, neuraxial, or invasive line placement

Schedule & Workload

• Full-time position (0.8 FTE)
• Monday through Friday day shifts
• No evenings
• No weekends
• No holidays
• No call responsibilities
• Cases typically finished by 2:00 PM

Clinical Responsibilities

• Independent administration of anesthesia for chronic pain procedures
• Pre-anesthetic screenings and patient interviews
• Development and execution of anesthesia care plans
• Intra-procedural monitoring and airway management
• Post-anesthesia evaluation and patient discharge
• Emergency response and ACLS-level interventions when needed

Compensation & Employment Structure

• Employment model: W-2
• Annual salary range: $320,000–$380,000 based on experience
• Six weeks of paid vacation
• Paid malpractice insurance
• CME allowance of $3,000 annually

Candidate Requirements

• Active Minnesota CRNA license required
• NBCRNA certification required
• Minimum of three years independent CRNA experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS required
• PALS required
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
