A hospital-based anesthesia group in Michigan City, Indiana is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for an ASAP and ongoing locum tenens assignment. Practice Environment

This is a supervised anesthesia practice within a 123-bed hospital. The facility does not utilize Anesthesia Assistants and maintains efficient workflows supported by experienced anesthesia and perioperative staff. Credentialing can be expedited for candidates with a clean background, allowing for a relatively quick start.

Case Mix & Anesthesia Scope

• Bread and butter anesthesia cases
• Outpatient surgery cases frequently performed
• Orthopedic anesthesia commonly encountered
• Office-based anesthesia as needed
• Obstetric and pediatric anesthesia negotiable
• No cardiac, thoracic, vascular, neuro, trauma, or chronic pain cases

Schedule & Workload

• Locum tenens position
• ASAP start with ongoing coverage needs
• Monday through Friday schedule
• 8-hour day shifts
• No nights
• No weekends
• No call responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provision of anesthesia care in a supervised hospital setting
• Preoperative evaluation and anesthesia planning
• Intraoperative anesthesia management and monitoring
• Post-anesthesia care and patient handoff
• Performance of invasive or regional procedures as negotiated

Compensation & Employment Structure

• Daily compensation range: $1,700–$2,000 per day
• Hourly equivalent: $220–$250 per hour
• Employment model: 1099
• Weekly pay
• Travel and lodging provided
• Paid medical malpractice insurance with tail coverage
• Contract length: 3–6 months with extension potential

Candidate Requirements

• Active Indiana CRNA license required
• NBCRNA certification required or in examination process
• ACLS negotiable
• PALS negotiable
• New graduates considered on a negotiable basis
