Program Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.

Current RN license in good standing.

Minimum of 1 year of critical care. Critical care experience within the last 3 years is preferred. Preferred critical care experience includes: ICU, Cardiac ICU, Neuro ICU, Thoracic ICU, Shock-Trauma ICU, Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU, Surgical ICU, and Medical ICU. Operating Room, and Post Anesthesia Care Unit are not acceptable. ER may be acceptable depending on circumstance.

Minimum GPA of 3.0, including a minimum 3.0 GPA in core sciences.

GRE scores on file from within the last 5 years, minimum combined score of 1000 is preferred.

Required Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).

Completion of the CCRN Certification is also highly recommended and encouraged.

Organic chemistry or biochemistry course with a C or better is recommended but not required.
