Job Description

Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates, PC is seeking a full-time CRNA to join our experienced team at three outpatient endoscopy centers in Birmingham, Alabama. This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy a Monday through Friday schedule with no call, no weekends, and no holidays, in a collaborative and physician-led GI practice focused on high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia for endoscopic procedures
  • Work independently and collaboratively with gastroenterologists and healthcare team
  • Perform intravenous cannulization, airway management, drug administration, ventilation, intubation, and monitoring
  • Reassess and modify anesthesia plans based on patient condition in collaboration with the gastroenterologist
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop care plans
  • Clean and maintain anesthesia equipment after procedures
  • Utilize EMR software and intermediate computer skills effectively
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • BSN and Master’s degree in Nurse Anesthesia
  • Current Alabama CRNA and RN licenses
  • Graduate of a program accredited by the AANA Council on Certification
  • NBCRNA certification
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification
  • NPI number required at time of hire
  • Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience with adult and geriatric populations (GI preferred)
  • Proficiency in tracheal intubation and airway management

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Full-time, W-2 position
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • No call, no weekends, no holidays
  • Occasional travel between local endoscopy centers
