Job Description

Cary Medical Center is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join a stable and highly respected anesthesia team in Caribou, Maine. This opportunity is ideal for a CRNA looking for long-term practice in a supportive hospital environment with excellent work–life balance. You will join a collaborative team of five CRNAs and two anesthesiologists providing anesthesia services in five modern operating rooms with an average monthly caseload of approximately 250 cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for a broad mix of surgical cases
• Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia plans
• Administer general, spinal, obstetrical, pediatric, and thoracic anesthesia (excluding open heart)
• Manage epidurals, peripheral nerve blocks, and ventilation
• Perform central line placement and Bier blocks as indicated
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nursing staff, and perioperative teams

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
• Current NBCRNA certification
• Eligible for Maine CRNA licensure
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• Comfortable practicing under a medical supervision model

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time position with typical hours of 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Call rotation approximately 1 in 4–5
• Minimal trauma and no open heart or head cases
• Balanced case mix including general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, and urology
