Job Description

A full-time hospital-employed position is available for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to serve as the Director of Anesthesia Services at FirstHealth of the Carolinas. This role blends clinical practice with administrative leadership, managing anesthesia services across four hospitals within the system. The position offers the opportunity to lead a large, collaborative CRNA team while maintaining a strong clinical presence in a variety of cases.

Key Responsibilities

Provide both clinical anesthesia services and administrative leadership across four hospitals
Oversee and develop a high-functioning team of 50 employed CRNAs
Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient outcomes
Ensure efficient OR operations and turnover in a fast-paced environment
Participate in strategic planning, provider development, and quality initiatives

Schedule & Work Environment

Full-time, hospital-employed (W2) position
Blend of leadership and direct clinical responsibilities
Case mix includes General, Orthopedics, OB (C-sections), GYN, Vascular, Neuro, Robotics, GI, Bronchoscopy, and low-volume Pediatrics
ACT model with collegial anesthesiologists
FIRST and SECOND call responsibilities negotiable

Guaranteed base salary plus leadership stipend

Job Requirements

NBCRNA-certified CRNA
Proven leadership and administrative experience in anesthesia services
Strong clinical background across a broad variety of surgical cases
Active or eligible North Carolina license
Commitment to patient-centered care and team-based leadership
