Job Description

The VA Maine Healthcare System in Augusta, ME is hiring a full-time CRNA to join its team at the nation’s oldest veterans’ facility. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care including general, regional, local, and MAC techniques
• Perform pre-op evaluations, anesthesia induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care
• Participate in clinical support functions and emergency response protocols
• Act as a resource for staff education and serve as a preceptor for healthcare trainees
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary: $180,254 – $268,494
• Up to $200,000 in student loan repayment through the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP)
• 50 days of paid time off annually: 26 vacation, 13 sick, and 11 federal holidays
• Traditional federal pension plan (5-year vesting) plus 401(k) with up to 5% VA match

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
• Eligible for VA federal employment; U.S. citizens preferred, non-citizens considered if qualified
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and team-centered care

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time position, Monday–Friday with rotating shifts
• Work on a 500-acre federal campus in Augusta, ME
