Job Description

Bitterroot Health is seeking a full-time CRNA to join its independent anesthesia team in Hamilton, Montana. This hospital-employed opportunity offers strong compensation, shared call, excellent benefits, and a broad case mix in a supportive rural healthcare environment.

You will work alongside six full-time CRNAs in an autonomous practice model while delivering anesthesia care across multiple surgical specialties. This is an excellent fit for experienced CRNAs seeking independence, lifestyle balance, and outdoor living in western Montana.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop anesthesia plans
• Perform anesthesia induction, maintenance, emergence, and recovery care
• Deliver anesthesia services independently within hospital protocols
• Manage perioperative patient safety and monitoring
• Provide care for obstetrics, orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, podiatry, urology, and neurosurgery cases
• Perform regional anesthesia, epidurals, spinals, and peripheral nerve blocks
• Support efficient OR workflow and high-quality patient outcomes

Compensation & Benefits

• Total annual compensation $320,000 – $340,000 including base salary, call pay, and incentives
• W-2 employed position

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
• Current NBCRNA certification required
• Active Montana license required
• Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Independent practice experience required
• Critical Access Hospital experience preferred
• Three years of acute care anesthesia experience preferred
• New graduates not accepted

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time position
• Regular OR hours 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Shared first call approximately every fifth night
• No second call
• Every sixth week assigned to neurosurgery with Friday off
• All-CRNA independent practice model
• Supportive and collegial clinical team
