Job Description
Dartmouth Health’s Department of Anesthesiology is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to lead our dynamic team at the Outpatient Surgery Center (OSC). Located on the same campus as Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, the OSC boasts 8 state-of-the-art operating rooms, providing an exciting and collaborative environment for advanced clinical care.
As the Lead CRNA, you will be a key member of the CRNA leadership team, responsible for providing clinical anesthesia care while managing OSC CRNA personnel in a collaborative MD/CRNA care team model. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and friendly environment, with flexible and personalized scheduling options to accommodate work-life balance. The OSC provides a diverse case mix, including General Surgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Eyes, Urology, Dental, Plastics, Orthopedics, GYN, and minor Vascular procedures.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong clinical practice and ensure that skills align with staff CRNA expectations.
- Serve as the primary representative of OSC CRNAs and act as a liaison between the OSC Medical Director and the Department of Anesthesiology Leadership.
- Ensure clinical competence of all OSC CRNAs by participating in professional practice evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative practice environment, involving the OSC Medical Director, attending physicians, and inter-professional care teams.
- Play an integral role in OSC leadership meetings and assist in daily schedule management.
- Ensure that licensing, certifications, credentials, and privileges of OSC CRNAs remain up to date.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in clinical, research, and educational areas.
- Mentor team members in their professional development and participate in recruitment efforts.
- Refine policies and procedures and coordinate education and orientation for new CRNAs and trainees.

Job Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a nurse anesthetist
- Experience in an ambulatory surgery center environment
- Recent pediatric anesthesia experience preferred
- Demonstrated supervisory experience preferred
Required Licensure/Certification
- Current New Hampshire Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current New Hampshire Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), active certification
- Active DEA license
- Active ACLS and PALS certification (Instructor preferred)
