Job Description
Eye SurgiCenter LLC in Sebring, FL is seeking an experienced PRN CRNA to support a high-volume ophthalmology ASC. This role is ideal for CRNAs who want to expand their independent practice skills in a fast-paced surgical environment with strong clinical autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia for ophthalmologic surgical procedures
- Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments
- Monitor patient vitals and maintain airway safety throughout cases
- Administer anesthetic agents and injections as needed
- Oversee and collaborate with the Pre-Op Assessment RN
- Document patient information accurately (paper charting)
- Review equipment and participate in emergency preparedness recommendations
Compensation & Benefits
- 1099 independent contractor
- $1,600 per day (8-hour guarantee)
- Occurrence malpractice coverage provided (limits: $1M / $3M)
- Opportunity for eye block training if needed
Job Requirements
- Active Florida CRNA license
- NBCRNA certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Current NPDB report
- Minimum 2 years independent practice experience (CRNA-only)
- Eye block skills preferred but training available
- Strong injection, airway, and patient-monitoring skills
Schedule & Work Environment
- PRN position
- Must be available Monday, Tuesday, and occasional Wednesday
- On-site Ophthalmology ASC
- No supervision—independent CRNA practice
