Job Description

Rush Oak Park Hospital, a community hospital affiliated with Rush University Medical Center, is hiring full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs). Located just west of Chicago, this position offers flexible scheduling, no call, and the opportunity to serve as a clinical preceptor for SRNAs. Rush is a nationally recognized academic medical system with world-class facilities, leadership in health equity, and a strong teaching mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for a variety of inpatient and outpatient cases
  • Function under the medical direction of anesthesiologists
  • Serve as faculty and precept student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNAs)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $250,000 – $350,000 W2
  • Sign-on bonus and SRNA educational grants available
  • Eligible for Illinois Nurse Educator Loan Repayment: $5,000/year up to 4 years
  • Retirement: 100% match up to 6% + 457(b) supplemental plan
  • 208 hours PTO + 7 paid holidays
  • Fertility benefit: $50,000 lifetime max
  • $2,000 CME/year + $1,500 every 3 years for licenses/certs + 1 week CME time
  • Full health, dental, vision, life, disability, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement

Job Requirements

  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program
  • Current IL RN/APN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Full-time, W-2 position
  • Shift options: 8s or 10s with tailored flexibility
  • No in-house call or overnight coverage
  • Call-ins are rare (about 10%); paid pager + call-in rate
  • Collaborative, patient-focused care team with no “waterfall tear-off” model
