Job Description

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a full-time CRNA to join their ambulatory surgical team at the West Ashley Medical Pavilion. This role involves providing anesthesia care to adult patients in collaboration with anesthesiologists, supporting specialties such as Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, and Endoscopy.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia care to adult outpatient surgical patients
• Collaborate with supervising anesthesiologists
• Proficient operation of anesthesia machines and monitoring equipment
• Provide resuscitative care in emergencies
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records
• Engage in ongoing education, training, and professional development

Compensation & Benefits

• $50,000 sign-on bonus (external candidates, 2-year commitment)
• Full benefits package through MUSC
• Hourly (non-exempt) W-2 employment

Job Requirements

• Graduation from a COA-accredited nurse anesthesia program
• Certified or recertified by NBCRNA
• Eligible for licensure as APRN in South Carolina
• Current BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider)
• Master’s degree or higher required (if hired after March 1, 2019)

Schedule & Work Environment

• 40 hours per week, day shift
• No call, no weekends
• Outpatient setting at West Ashley Medical Pavilion
• Support across multiple specialized ambulatory services
