Job Description

A private practice anesthesia group in Reston, Virginia is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a PRN or full-time position focused on obstetric anesthesia. This role features a low-volume OB service, providing a manageable and predictable clinical workload.

CRNAs will work 24-hour shifts with anesthesiologist supervision in a collaborative care model. This opportunity is ideal for providers experienced in OB anesthesia who are seeking high compensation, flexible scheduling, and a balanced workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for obstetric patients
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and develop care plans
• Administer epidurals and manage labor analgesia
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout procedures
• Respond to emergent obstetric anesthesia needs
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, OB teams, and nursing staff
• Ensure safe post-anesthesia recovery and documentation

Compensation & Benefits

• $4,500 per 24-hour shift
• $190 per hour for PRN coverage
• $250,000 annual salary for full-time position
• $60,000 sign-on bonus with two-year commitment

Job Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
• Active or eligible Virginia state license
• NBCRNA certification required

• Ability to work 24-hour shifts
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills

Schedule & Work Environment

• PRN or full-time position available
• Approximately 6 to 7 shifts per month (24-hour shifts)
• Low-volume OB service with manageable workload
• Medical direction model with anesthesiologist supervision
• No second call responsibilities
• Day off guaranteed after each shift
