Job Description

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join the established and collaborative anesthesia team at TriCities Hospital in Hopewell, Virginia, located just 30 minutes south of Richmond. CRNAs practice within a care team model and work alongside experienced anesthesiologists and CRNA colleagues while managing a broad range of surgical cases. This position provides the opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a collegial and professionally rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for general surgery, orthopedic, and GI procedures
• Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and anesthesia planning
• Administer and monitor anesthesia throughout all phases of patient care
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Practice at the full scope of CRNA licensure within a supportive care team model
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
• Current NBCRNA certification required
• Current Virginia licensure required or eligible
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current PALS certification required
• Ability to practice within a collaborative care team environment
• New graduates encouraged to apply

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time W-2 hospital-employed position
• No call responsibilities
• No night shifts
• No weekend coverage
• 5-day, 8-hour shift schedule
• Care team model consisting of 4 anesthesiologists and 8 CRNAs
• Approximately 5,500 cases annually across 6 sites of service
• General surgery, orthopedics, and GI case mix
• No cardiac cases
• No obstetric cases
• Supportive environment focused on professional development and clinical growth
