Job Description

Rockford Anesthesiologists Associated is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join the anesthesia care team at UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. This W-2 hospital-based role offers a strong physician–CRNA care team model, competitive compensation, and a stable schedule within a large, well-established healthcare system. CRNAs in this position deliver comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care across a diverse range of surgical services while working in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough pre-anesthesia assessments, including medical history review and risk evaluation
• Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans
• Administer general, regional, local, and monitored anesthesia care
• Manage airways, including intubation and ventilation
• Continuously monitor patients during procedures and respond to physiologic changes
• Provide post-anesthesia care, pain management, and patient education
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital and regulatory standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education

Compensation & Benefits

• $312,000 base annual salary
• $75,000 sign-on bonus

Job Requirements

• Active RN license and eligibility for Illinois licensure
• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program (DNP or DNAP preferred)
• NBCRNA certification
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS (as required)
• Ability to function effectively in a team-based clinical environment

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time schedule averaging 40 hours per week
• Approximately 24 weekend hours per month
• No first or second call responsibilities
• Physician–CRNA anesthesia care team model
