Job Description

ECAA is partnering with ECU Health Duplin Hospital to recruit a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a high-autonomy role in a rural North Carolina hospital setting. This position offers one of the strongest compensation packages in the state, extensive time off, and a stable schedule within a collaborative anesthesia care team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations, histories, and physicals to develop safe anesthetic plans.
  • Provide anesthesia care for a broad range of surgical cases, including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, OB-GYN, ophthalmology, dental, and healthy pediatrics.
  • Utilize a variety of anesthesia techniques, including spinals, intubations, arterial lines, and regional modalities as appropriate.
  • Monitor patients intraoperatively and manage post-anesthesia recovery to ensure safe outcomes.
  • Participate in shared call coverage in coordination with anesthesiologists and fellow CRNAs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting base salary near $300,000 with total earning potential up to approximately $400,000+

Schedule & Call

  • Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Urgent/emergent cases covered from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. under call
  • Call shared equally among three CRNAs; CRNA is first call with MD/DO as backup
  • Three ORs with an anesthesia team of two CRNAs and one anesthesiologist daily

Job Requirements

  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Active or eligible North Carolina license
  • Comfort working in a rural hospital environment with broad case exposure
  • Strong clinical skills, professionalism, and ability to practice with a high level of autonomy and team collaboration
