Job Description
Los Angeles Anesthesia is seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join an established private anesthesia group in Los Angeles, California. This opportunity is available for one full-time and one part-time CRNA and is structured for clinicians who want to practice independently in a stable, high-volume environment with strong administrative and peer support.
This is a 1099 position offering a predominantly bread-and-butter caseload with competitive earning potential. CRNAs practice without medical direction and are expected to manage their own anesthetics. OB skills are required, with intermittent exposure depending on scheduling and case flow. The group maintains an efficient workflow supported by anesthesiologists, anesthesia technicians, and experienced perioperative staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent anesthesia care across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence without anesthesiologist direction
- Provide obstetric anesthesia coverage as needed
- Perform regional anesthesia and neuraxial techniques when indicated
- Maintain accurate anesthesia records and comply with clinical protocols
- Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and anesthesia colleagues
Case Mix & Clinical Scope
- General “bread and butter” surgical cases
- Outpatient surgical procedures
- Orthopedic cases
- Neurosurgical cases (limited)
- Obstetric anesthesia (required)
- Occasional regional anesthesia and acute pain management
Schedule & Coverage
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- No mandatory first or second call
- Post-call days negotiable if coverage is required
- Immediate start available
- Flexible scheduling based on group needs
Compensation Structure
- Annual earning potential: $400,000 – $550,000
- 1099 independent contractor status
- Fee-for-service income model
- No sign-on bonus
- Malpractice insurance not provided
Job Requirements
- Active California RN and CRNA license
- NBCRNA certification required
- ACLS certification required
- OB anesthesia experience required
- Comfort practicing independently
- New graduates considered on a case-by-case basis
