Job Description

Victor Valley Global Medical Center in Victorville, California is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its anesthesia team in a fully independent practice model. This position offers a highly desirable 1 week on / 1 week off schedule, allowing for exceptional work-life balance while earning top-tier compensation in Southern California.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope anesthesia services independently across a variety of cases, including GYN, general surgery, orthopedics, and inpatient GI.
• Take both first and second call responsibilities during assigned weeks.
• Provide OR and OB call coverage from home; manage approximately 80 deliveries per month.
• Collaborate with day-shift CRNAs and hospital staff to ensure seamless anesthesia coverage and patient safety.
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments, anesthesia administration, and post-anesthesia evaluations autonomously.

Compensation & Schedule

• Annual compensation: $425,000–$600,000 (1099 independent contractor position).
• One week on / one week off schedule — work only 26 weeks per year.
• Combination of first and second call coverage during the on-week.
• First call limited to weekends; weekday coverage supported by additional CRNAs.
• Independent practice—no medical direction.

Job Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification.
• Current and active California RN and CRNA licenses (or eligibility to obtain).
• Minimum of several years of independent anesthesia experience preferred.
• Proficiency with a variety of surgical cases and comfort working autonomously.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Schedule & Work Environment

• 1 week on / 1 week off rotation, offering excellent flexibility.
• Mix of home call and on-site anesthesia coverage.
