Program Requirements
Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited program in the United States or the equivalent from another country.
RN licensure; RN in California before clinical courses.
Minimum 1 year, full-time adult critical care RN experience (in the U.S.) at time of matriculation (excluding orientation). Experience is evaluated on an individual basis.
A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on all undergraduate coursework, and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for science prerequisites.
Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) is recommended.
A full year of General Chemistry is highly recommended. Introductory Biochemistry course is highly recommended.
Shadow a CRNA: An 8 hour clinical observation with a CRNA must be completed before your admission interview.
