Job Description

Macatawa Anesthesia, PC is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its long-established independent anesthesia practice at Holland Hospital in Holland, Michigan. This stable private practice has maintained an exclusive contract with the hospital for more than 30 years and offers a collegial environment where CRNAs practice with a high level of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for orthopedic, spine, general surgery, gynecology, ENT, healthy pediatrics, endoscopy, ophthalmology, podiatry, MRI, TEE, and ECT procedures
• Administer spinal anesthesia and regional anesthesia techniques as appropriate
• Manage anesthesia independently for the majority of cases
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and postoperative patient care
• Place arterial lines and assist with regional anesthesia when indicated
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff to provide exceptional patient care

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive compensation package valued at approximately $279,000 including fully funded retirement contribution
• $25,000 negotiable sign-on bonus
• Overtime paid hourly for all hours worked beyond 40 per week

Job Requirements

• Current Michigan CRNA license required or eligible
• Current NBCRNA certification required
• Providers in the NBCRNA examination process will be considered
• Current ACLS certification required
• PALS certification negotiable
• No fellowship training required
• New graduates are encouraged to apply

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time W-2 private practice position
• One hospital and one ambulatory surgery center within the same health system
• Rare medical direction (approximately 1% of cases)
• CRNAs administer induction agents independently
• No first-call responsibilities
• Shared backup home call only with rare callbacks
• Second-call rotation shared equally among providers
• First out the following day after callback and occasionally the entire day off
• Call, holidays, and weekends shared equally from day one
• Practice includes bread-and-butter anesthesia with no cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery and only rare neurosurgical head cases
• Team includes 9 full-time anesthesiologists, 5 part-time anesthesiologists, 3 full-time CRNAs, 2 part-time CRNAs, and 1 anesthesia technician
